EXTENDING THE CABLE:  Due to the electronic nature of this product, it appears CAT5/6 Cable and other twisted cable causes this door intercom to phantom ding dong.  Therefore if you are pre-wiring or wish to use a longer cable you must purchase Figure8 medium duty cable(at this stage we cannot supply this).  Figure8 cable is like speaker cable, so you can use Figure8 Power Cable, Medium duty Speaker Cable or any cable with 2 conductors not twisted.  It is not recommended longer than 60 metres.

This unit is already supplied with 30 metres of cable suitable for most peoples needs..
